Why Mobile Apps and Responsive Websites are Needed
Statistics showed that as of late 2015, roughly 56% of consumer traffic to the leading US websites is now from mobile devices. 72% of Americans own a smartphone, and two-thirds of world’s population own a smartphone. On average, smartphone owners spend 90 minutes using it, which amounts to 23 days per year. As of April 21, 2015, websites that are not responsive may see a significant decrease in page ranking (and thus traffic) on the Google’s mobile search pages. [For more info]
Our Mobile Services
Mobile Application Development: Apps are actual applications that are downloaded and installed on your mobile device, rather than being rendered within a browser. An app is useful for developing an application for a very specific purpose that cannot be effectively accomplished via a web browser. Our programming team have implemented mobile applications using several technologies, including iPhone SDK, Yahoo Blueprint, and Palm OS so we have the experience to create just the application you need.
Responsive Website Design: Responsive designs provide an optimal viewing experience—easy reading and navigation with a minimum of resizing, panning, and scrolling—across a wide range of devices (from mobile phones to desktop computer monitors) through fluid grid concepts that depend on percentages rather than absolute measurements (pixels or points). With a responsive website, you can see the transformation onscreen just by resizing your browser window and see how the site responds to the smaller viewing space.
The obvious characteristic that distinguishes responsive sites over standard websites is their layout, graphic design and formatting of the page is obviously ‘responsive’ on smaller displays and touch-screen interfaces. They can also access mobile-specific features such as tap-to-call (to dial a phone number), responsive drop-down navigation menus or location-based mapping.
