Web Design:

ABOUT THE PROJECT
After nearly a year of being hired to manage their current website, we discussed improving their web presence, the architecture of the site and the content so they could attract more traffic as well as increase engagement and conversions for their nonprofit organization. Tell the story behind PDJF was first and foremost, as well as maintaining and utilizing their already well-established branding, logo and colors. We updated the visuals, the design, the content, the images, the layout and the navigation of the entire site. Now much easier to navigate, to find what you’re looking for, to understand their mission and what they need in the way of public support, the site has already seen improved analytics stats, positive feedback and higher engagement on the pages.
It was a pleasure working with Joe and Cindy, as well as getting to know the brand’s mission and the various recipients’ stories of inspiration, triumph over trial, and community support.
ABOUT THE COMPANY
The Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund (PDJF) is a 501(c)(3) charity that provides financial assistance to approximately 50 former jockeys who have suffered catastrophic on-track injuries resulting in permanent disability. Since its inception, the fund has dispersed over $15 million.
Created in 2006, Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse industry leaders representing race tracks, jockeys, horsemen’s groups, and others formed this collaborative organization. In 2009, the PDJF became a freestanding 501(c)(3) public charity governed by a board of directors from a broad cross-section of the horse racing industry.
