ABOUT THE PROJECT
Nick, owner and counselor of Transformational Holistic Counseling Service, reached out to redo his self-made WordPress website, as well as update and improve is branding. What was he using as a long was not a logo but instead just an image he found. What is the difference? A logo and a stock photo/image are both visual assets, but they are created for completely different purposes and are used differently in branding and marketing. A logo is a unique visual identity created specifically for a business, organization, or brand. A logo is a specific visual symbol or mark that represents a company and is designed to be simple, memorable, and easily recognizable. Stock images or photos help visually communicate ideas, emotions, services, or industries; are not easily transferrable, too complicated to be used on versatile formats/media; and is not easily recognizable.
Once we got final approval on the logo, we began working on his website, cloning his existing site so we could work without disturbing usage/visits of his old site. Then we began updating the design, the layout, the direction, organization of content, and SEO optimization. Without professional direction, the website can be confusing, hard to understand the purpose, and difficult to navigate. Layout and navigation are essential so visitors can find what they are looking for, getting answers to their questions, as well as engage them so they are motivated to convert. With the client, we rewrote every page of the website, defined the varied services he provides to show the purpose and benefits of each. We also worked together for the various types of issues and patient diagnoses Nick has expertise working with. Finally we worked to tell Nick’s story, his unique approach, his skillsets and his training. All sites work hard to ensure policies, terms, disclaimers are conveyed accurately and fully, but Nick did an excellent joy in providing this content to ensure the safety and protection of his patients.
Like all clients, when the project goes live, we conduct a full Eagle Eye checklist to ensure all is grammatically correct, no broken links, working functionality and no misspellings. And then the client was trained so he could manage his site content, work on continued optimization, and keep the site active and dynamic so the search engines continue to rank it. It was an absolute pleasure working with Nick, and our team learned so much about his Adult Neurodivergent approach to mental health.
