In 2016, Habitat for Humanity Madison Clark Counties will be hosting a Women Build! The last Women Build in Madison County was in 1999. So its time to empower women in our community to take the lead in fundraising (of $50,000) and in the construction of the new home. So ladies, pick up your hammer and start pounding the pavement to get donations. We Can Do This!
What is a Women Build?
W
omen Build is Habitat for Humanity’s program for women who want to learn construction skills and build homes and communities. This program brings together women from all walks of life to address the housing crisis facing millions of women and children worldwide. No experience is necessary!
The program continues to grow across international borders, empowering women everywhere to address poverty housing for themselves, their families and their neighbors. Dozens of international Women Builds have taken place, and the program aims to direct financial assistance to women-led projects worldwide.
Habitat for Humanity of Madison & Clark Counties haven’t had a Women Build since 1999, so let’s empower the women of our community to build a house for a Madison County family in need!
