We have had the privilege of getting to know Dr. Mark Rasmus through Sleepedu and Respiratoryedu, so when he began his new practice and needed his website to promote the new practice that would be up and running within 30 days, he called Startup Production. As soon as we were able, we got an Under Construction page up so we can inform the former Saltzer Health Patients of the new practice to ensure them of the continuity of care and sleep disorder treatments, which would now be handled by Everything Sleep Idaho. Dr. Rasmus sent his logo, which we used as the basis for the design, color scheme and style of the website. We studied the examples he sent to provide a draft that would fit in his brand story. From the time we received access to hosting to the time we went live was less than two weeks’ time, and everyone on his staff including his medical management and marketing team offered us high praise on the look, the content we created, and the development of the site’s layout and ease of use. A medical site especially needs to build trust and credibility with informative and verified content, with a full description of the credentials of the medical staff, and detailed information about the treatment options, along with benefits of working with Everything Sleep Idaho to manage and solve their patients’ sleep disorders, as well as the risks of untreated sleep apnea.

When it comes to design preferences, I often ask my clients to present samples of websites they like and want to emulate whether in design, layout or functionality. We never copy anyone’s work but we feel this has been a successful way for clients to ‘show’, rather than ‘tell’ as it tends to be difficult for clients to articulate the look they are aspiring to.  Once we have a feel of their design direction, their logo and a full grasp of their approach to their services and products within their industry, then we create an appealing design, that is professional, easy to navigate and promotes a specific call-to-action.
