Why your Website is Still the Foundation of your Branding

Why Brand Websites are still Relevant

While I do think social media is still a primary way to capture a select demographic of your target audience, it’s still important to have an engaging and dynamic website as the foundation of your brand’s story.

How to Write Engaging Content for your Website

Content is … STILL King

I’ve been preaching the value of good content for years now, and although the technology, search engines and social media platforms are changing faster than we can often keep up with … one thing hasn’t changed:  Content is still King.  Here are some recent statistics to verify that:

Promoting your Brand Amidst a Changing Social Media World

The past year, with social media making the news in the political realm, as well as fake new stories, social bullying, live criminal activity, and other viral negative posts, it was time to make a change in the social media world. Many social media users have complained about the over-commercialization and politicizing of their newsfeeds, so the platforms have responded with big changes in improving their ‘social experience’.  How will these changes affect the way you promote your brand on Facebook and Instagram?

I was recently invited to speak to a group of local realtors about how they can use Social Media to promote their business.  The basics of social media remain the same regardless of the industry but since the real estate market has a unique audience, there are some specific tips to promote their brand, increase listings and hopefully sell more homes.

Internet Marketing 101

Recently I was invited to do a Internet Marketing presentation for a local business networking group, but only had twenty minutes to present. Is it possible to give an overview of recommended elements of creating a successful web presence in such a short time?  I decided to pick the most essential ingredients, quickly highlight how and where to implement them and show recent statistics to prove how they can improve your page ranking.

How to find the Right Keywords for your Website

What is a keyword?

A Keyword is any phrase you would like your site to rank for in Google’s Search Results.  It is not a singular word as those would be too competitive and incomplete to target the right audience. Keywords are combinations of words that describe your industry, your location, your niche within your market, and versatile enough to reach different segments of your target audience.

How to use Content Marketing to Engage your Audience

We are exhausted with the traditional push marketing, and now more apt to ‘block’ it out. What instead if our content was being sought after instead of shoved in people’s faces? What if the content made them laugh, feel inspired, answered their questions or motivated them to read more? Hence, this is where content marketing comes in and saves the day for our brand.

What is the Right Social Media Channel for your Brand?

There are so many social media channels these days, with new ones coming on the scene with a great deal of buzz and excitement, and then either falling by the wayside due to low verified accounts and worse yet, even less active users (examples:  Ello, Myspace, Friendster, Del.ico.us, and now soon Vine).

Benefits of a Consistent Social Media Presence

These days, most businesses realize the importance of a consistent and engaging presence on various social media channels. But some of my clients still hesitate. They may feel they lack the skill or technology savvy to setup and maintain their account.  They say they lack the time to be consistent, or they don’t know what to say on there. Or I have had some say they don’t want people to post bad reviews of them. Here are some key reasons why its imperative that all businesses, of all shapes and sizes, should put forth an effort on at least 1 to 3 social media channels (depending on your audience).

Promoting your Brand on Instagram in 2016

I posted to this blog introducing Instagram for business use in 2013, which at that time the social media platform had over 10 million users, and now as of June 2016 it boasts over 500 million monthly active users.  That’s a 4900% increase over three years. But the improvements or changes have not stopped there.
