Hope’s Wings Domestic Violence Program | Richmond KY

Jennifer Lainhart and Terri Johnson contacted Startup Production after meeting Nicole Mueller at various networking events and womens’ associations in Madison County, KY through the years.  Their project goals included a new website that was more dynamic, easier to navigate for the user, and easier to manage the content for their staff, as well as visually appealing to sponsors and supporters of their mission but primarily to those who need their services.

Thus, we worked to ensure that the design, layout and content were designed to draw the user to their specific Call-to-Action, especially those in crisis but also to the various companies, organizations and individuals who are interested in learning more about the organization’s mission, sign up to volunteer, attend one of their community events and to motivate and encourage desperately needed financial donations.  Not only did we want the layout and content of the website to quickly respond to those in need or in danger, but to educate victims on the signs and symptoms of abuse to protect themselves and any children under their care.  To support their non-profit cause, Startup Production offered a substantial reduction in costs as an in-kind donation, and thus becoming a sponsor for their organization. We are happy to support this worthy organization who has successfully served, sheltered, and educated thousands of Domestic Violence clients in Madison and surrounding communities.

As with all of our websites, their site was built on a responsive platform (mobile ready), SEO optimized, with vetted and professionally integrated functionality, on a content management platform that is easy to update and add new content for the client.

Hope’s Wings’ mission is to empower victims of domestic violence to make safe permanent changes for themselves and their children by providing comprehensive and cohesive services through support, understanding, education, and awareness.  Their programs and services are diverse and range from emergency shelter and  counseling to education and career readiness. They support the path of all survivors as they work to be self-sufficient and free from violence.
